*rumble rumble boooooooom...*

...Things got a little crazy at work yesterday with the big thunderstorm we had. It was still going strong when I went to bed, and I dreamed of being in a place I had to guard that was abandoned and leaking from all the rain. In my dream we had all fallen asleep in old stuffed armchairs, and I was trying to stay awake to keep watch and put out buckets for all the leaking bits from the roof. Surreal stuff.

Even with the nice coffee the Captain brought in this morning, I still feel a little like I'm dreaming. I'm sure that will get blasted right out of my head when I'm actually working:)

I also keep seeing people wearing really interesting clothes...which I want. Big dragon skully boots, lovely silk saris, Black draped shibori kimono-jackets. It's terrible, this recent feeling of aquisition. I want I want I want I WANNNNT!!!!...and I don't Need, no I do not. I hope it just goes away, like a spring cold...

I love saris. They're beautiful.
Cindy went to a halloween party once dressed in a real sari that one of mom's friends dressed her in. It was a beautiful green one, if I remember correctly.

It was pretty disorienting, that's for sure...maybe I was worried about the water coming in--after my flooding episode running water noises make me a bit more anxious than they used to...

Mmm silk... now you've made me want the silk sari and I haven't seen it. Plus I'm already a boot-whore, so the fact that I already own 2 very nice pairs mean nothing to me... *wants some red leather one's*

I need new boots...my old Fluevogs are literally falling apart:/
If it weren't for my beat-up oxblood docs, I don't know how I would have gotten through the winter.

I see so much lovely clothing lately, which makes me want to put on every drapey thing I own and swan around somewhere. My friends tell me Stevie Nicks wants all her shawls back, and I just stick out my tongue and ignore them:)
