I'm waking up...no really, I am, put down the demitasse of double espresso...


For some reason I've been thinking about old boyfriends...maybe it's just the time of year or something; there's a small handful of Unhappy Anniversaries involved about now, so I suppose it stands to reason.
It's a little unsettling and I quietly want it to stop. So I've trying to immerse myself in the present moment. For example, I am madly, madly in love with my new shoes right now, they are so comfy and black...Mmmmm.... Also Captain Emily and I are eating grapes and talking about cats. She's telling me about her boyfriend's cat, Ham-Nose, who has a presensile monkey-like tail she wraps around objects like wrists or chair legs. How cool is that?

So... what's your present moment shaping up to be? Good bad, ugly, indifferent? Are cats involved? How about double espresso? Tell the nosy Maus!!!

I am munching curry roasted caulifour and onions. The only recent cat involvement was at a friends house over the weekend - a gorgeous tabby that didn't want anything to do with me. Sigh.

I'm thinking about your shoes. What are they like? What is the brand? I have trouble finding comfortable shoes. Would I ever wear that kind?

The brand name is "Rocky", and I'm thinking stores that specialize in uniforms should have some. You should see the insoles, they're at least 3 inches thick!!!
