I finished a pair of socks I was knitting this morning. They're on a towel in my living room drying out so they have the right shape. I love it that I can make my own funny-colored socks:) (Having Invader Zim on for morning cartoons didn't hurt it at all, either...I was doing toe decreases and listening to GIR say, "Whyyyy is his head so BIG?!?!" and laughing to myself.)

Now I just have to get through today and go home, happy in the face of my personal weekend. Even though the Black Mound of Laundry is quite big right now. Captain Emily saw me in street clothes yesterday and gasped, saying, "You're wearing JEANS!" I was--most of my very black clothing was in the Mound, waiting patiently, (oh so patiently) for me to stuff them into machines and pour enough detergent on them to clean a crime scene...

Exciting stuff, I know...gimme a day off and I should have better tales of Mausi derring-do that don't involve work or cleaning. Okay, much of it would be paint or yarn-based, but I might get into that tequila Ben and Petey brought me from Jamaica and who knows what'll happen to me?...


Anyway. So there you are...
