...Even though it was hotter than blazes this morning I was playing whith my spinning wheel some more. Sweaty, but so addictive...
I blame this last weekend. I got a chance to hang out with Ben and Peaty now that Pete's back home for a week before he goes off to Sweden for school. The part of the night I spent not eating burritos and letting my headache medicine kick in was spent trying to teach Peat how to spin on his new wheel. It was tricky, since Peat was hosting left and right and wouldn't hold STILL, dammit... but by the end of the night he was spinning some very pretty and lumpy Icelandic wool. Makes a Mausi proud. It made me grateful for my own goofy wheel too, since I had trouble with Peat's at first--too light or something; I really had to pump to get things going instead of my own wheel's almost effortless momentum because of it's heavier wheel...
Yipes! Gotta motor--I feel better, so I'm at the jade mines for workies. It's sure hot in this suitcoat and clip-on-tie...
