msfledermaus...I gave a clueless cow-irker a 30-second crash course on gender-identification becuase he was about to sneer at the male-to-female Transgender person below us...mostly because the cow-irker was checking out her legs before he realised she was trans.
I dunno if it at all sunk in, but at least I tried. Score one for protecting diversity...

When we first merged companies no one even could tell... it took a while for the combined gossip mills to start chatting about her change. It is really interesting how people respond. I sometimes find myself having to stress the female pronouns when talking about her and others stress a male pronoun for her. But i don't see anyone rude to her face at least.
