...though it's sunny right now. It actually looks really nice out. I love fall:)
I finished a sweater with black and burgundy/tobacco colored stripes last night, and wore it to workies today. I'm very proud--already I've got two coworker complimenting me on it. And it's verrrrrry warm, which makes me feel comforted and loved. Knitting is one of the best things ever for that kind of thing, in my humble opinion. I originally took it up after a disasterous bout of bad blind or may-as-well-have-been-blind dates, and it made me feel a *lot* better...even when I was in the beginning stages of, "Is this supposed to look like this?"
I brought in some knitting to play with on break too...I made this Halloween yarn, all black and orange with sparkly green and orangey glints. I'm making a kind of spidery scarf to help show off the yarn, and it's relaxing stuff after dealing with the thronging barbarian masses known as High School Field Trips. It's dangerous stuff, having centuries of fragile cultural artifacts around 50 or so people who really don't want to be there. But we all manage it okay...
...And later I'm buying all the sandwiches I can carry at Jasmine deli. You may want to go get yours before I get there:)

Date: 2006-11-04 06:15 am (UTC)When and where is this knitty knight? I STILL haven't met you yet and dangit, time is ticking! I not a knitter, but I can sit and cut out my little pieces of decoupage paper and make conversation with the worst of them -- and even lend my little teeny scissors when they're needed.

Date: 2006-11-05 08:49 pm (UTC)And no knitting is needed; we just call it that because a couple of us do knit. One learns japanese and cross-stitches, one draws, and there's a lot of laptop computer-goofing ggenerally...
Please come by if you can--or we can have Cawfeetawk some other evening that works for you. Lemme know:)
