...I woke up this morning to find we still kept Pawlenty as governor...*makes grumpy noises.* At least we have Ann Klobuchar as a new senator--one out of two isn't all bad.

Otherwise things are going okay...I got the coolest set of books from jkcohen--one of them a compilation of short stories and essays, including one he's in. I can't wait to read it tonight. I al made a new knitted creature for a friend--this one had the special request of wearing underpants. Underpants?!? The gutmonsters don't have any legs or anything; just sort of a blobby ban-baggy shape full of knitted innards. I knitted underpants anyway, shoving bits of the blobbies into the holes...it actually looked REALLY funny. (Pics to come.) I also knitted the tiniest sock possible to shove into the underwear..."to impress girls."
I'm a sick person, I acknowledge this:)

It's unseasonably warm today. As a Minnesotan I am unnerved by this. Minnesotans understand good weather as the shoe about to be dropped, big time, possibly with ice and snow and possibly frogs.

That's what your most famous export, Garrison Keillor says - summer makes Minnesotans act in a shameful manner because you are people of grey skies, ice and snow, and cold.

Sadly, Mr. Garrison is correct on this topic:)

Yeah, sounds like there's a goodly handful of Dems scattered around now. Good luck, guys!

AP called the governor's race at 47% and 46% with 95% of the polls reporting.. WTF. I want to see the actual final final numbers instead of their usual jumping the gun. That race at least is/was too close for anything but a final count.

I'm really glad Amy Klobuchar won. I really wanted Pawlenty out of there too. However, with the Dems in control of the House and possibly the senate and now that Rumsfeld is gone things are moving in the right direction.
