I didn't sleep very well last night. I blame the tuna noodle hot dish I made for dinner last night. Bad, bad Maus, you know tuna noodle hot dish before bed gives you nightmares. But I love it so...
I had this horrible, vivid nightmare about getting married to an ex-boyfriend. For the first part of the dream it was actually pretty cool and stylish--outdoor wedding, just a little Bollywood-looking,and lots of my friends trying on different clothes and boutonniers and what-have you. I think originally I was getting married to this sort of androgynous friend of mine in the dream. (You know, the fictional people in your dreams that don't exist in real life.) But it quickly segued into being forced to marry the ex-boyfriend, and I started screaming and freaking out and running away in all my wedding finery. (At least I didn't have a white dress on; it was this sort of cool forties-style thing.) I locked myself in the bathroom and repeatedly yelled things about never, never in a million years even if all humanity but the ex had died would I marry him. I kept getting proposals from the camera crew filming the marriage under the bathroom door, and people outside the window trying to talk me into coming out and discussing the matter. I woke up gasping and shuddering...to find the door pounding I'd heard in my dreams was actually the neighbors being noisy.
Gah.
It's all okay...it's all okay...it was just a dream...it was just a dream...
