Attack of the Moonenites...

This morning I heard about the Aqua-Teen Hunger Force ad snafu in Boston--there were circuit boards placed in random public areas with Moonenites giving people the finger. Part of me thinks this was a breathtakingly stupid move on the parts of the advertizers...what did they think the Boston police were going to do? Of course they're gonna freak. At least get a permit or something; sheesh. The really immature part of me that enjoys Aqua Teen Hunger Force thinks it was still pretty funny...*shakes head* It would have been funnier if the circuit board were playing various Foreigner songs while they were at it...

So now I've got "Double Vision" stuck in my head just thinking about it. Arrrrghh...

Oh man...that just makes it even worse on the Boston police, huh? *smacks head* So now they want to sue to cover up the embarrassment, I'm guessing?
And the ad company and Aqua Teen Hunger Force just got tons of free advertising...I'm gonna see that Moonenite spray-painted on every vacant shop front in town for ages, aren't I?

It's funny...I was listening to MPR and they had this vague menacing description of the plaques...I saw a picture of one and was amazed they went so berserk over *that*. You'd think someone on the force would be watching Cartoon Network at some point:/

I didn't hear that again, so they probably didn't have any kind of permits.

The thing is, if it were a bomb, do you think it would have been covered in LEDs? No, it would have placed so nobody would have seen it.

If they did get the permits than it's completly the city official's fault. If they hadn't then itwould have been the Ad Agencies fault for not following due process.

But as a result CN and Aqua Team have national/international advertising when they just paid for Boston XD

I watched 1 episode of ATHF and couldn't make it all the way to the end. When it comes to Adult Swim, I'm more of a Venture Bros. kind of guy.
