...Gah, it's really something outside. Happily I didn't have to dig myself out of anything too badly--I did get kind of stuck in a fairly large snowdrift, but thanks to heavy boots and a lot of caffeine I managed to get to work on time. Yay me...

And I even dragged along some of my weird knitting project. I'm mostly done with the front of the garbage bag kimono--now all I have to do is the sleeves and lengthen the obi and I think I've got it. I'm absurdly proud of myself. For the record, plastic bags can be kind of annoying to knit--the stiches try to wrap themselves around each other on the needles and it's sort of vaugely slidey and slippery to the hands. But now I'm in the swing of how it feels I've grown to appreciate it in a sort of Industrial fashion. I bet I could make all kinds of strange Goth-club gear outta this stuff, I bet I bet...
*starts sketching patterns in head*

But anyway, the show should be good. The art opening is Saturday, March 3rd, from 6ish to 11. Please come if you can; I promise I'll be around later this time:)

But for now I should get ready for possibly one of the quietest (or busiest, go fig) days of the year at a museum--after a great big fat snowfall...

...Underbelly. Great name for a show. I'll look it up. Thanks for being such a good personal assistant to Ms. Fledermausi :}

I made it to the Guard Art Show week before last. I hope to be able to make it to this exhibit, too, on my next TC bidness trip... That gallery is a nice venue for the cash poor talent rich artist.

Heh, I shoulda put that site up too...my only excuse is I was rushing to get off the 'puter so someone else could get on.

I'm glad you got to see my stuff:) That makes me feel good that you liked it; not a lot of people have seen the newer stuff, but the consensus seems positive. I hope you can see the next show--should be up for the month of March.

I liked all your stuff, but I especially liked the Mordred the Betrayer character with buttons for eyes. It's funny how stuffed toys can be so menacing, and monsters so endearing ;)

Do you know what it is that people either knit or crochet into a circular piece about the size of your hand--and then use as a semi abrasive pad? I bought one at a craft show and it's great.

I thought if I knew I could wait for the spring craft sales at churches and try to get someone to make them. That's where I bought mine.

Yeah, Masami made me a couple--you just use the crappiest acrylic yarn you can find and knit a garter stitch square, then sew the ends together. I bet there's thousands of them out there, like squishy sea anemonies...

I can make you a mutated version if you'd like one. I think that could be kinda fun!
