I'm steppin' one step at a time...
May. 16th, 2007 08:59 amI got the keys to the new Maushaus yesterday...
The whole process was incredibly frustrating, though. I'm not impressed with the new management company at all. Sounds like my new coop isn't, either. They may be changing management companies very soon. I hope so...The manger who had my keys didn't show up for half an hour, then promptly locked her keys in her car. When we examined the unit I found all sorts of things that weren't ready yet, from the bathroom sink handle being disassembled to the smoke detector not being installed to two of the locks being either sticky or having to be replaced. The kitchen still had all kinds of cleaning supplies left and a set of curtains in the sink. I was emphatic about having this stuff taken care of as soon as possible, and told a couple of the board members about it all...*sigh* At least the apartment has good bones, and all the appliances work. And I keep telling myself, no matter what, it's a better move than my last move, where my old landlord flooded my apartment and ruined my belongings...Just one step at a time, and I'll get all this crap taken care of. Though if anyone's available Saturday the 26th for schlepping boxes and such, that would be many many steps taken at a time:) I'll feed you the finest of pizzas, I tell ya...and beer! Lots of Beer! And you can pet the chickens!! *grins*
It took me a while to wind down when I got home. But this morning I had the spinning wheel going, which is always a cheerful thing. And to commemorate the life and death of Jerry Falwell, I had Ministry's "Golden Dawn" going most of the time. *Chuckle* Take it away, Uncle Aleister!!

Date: 2007-05-16 05:57 pm (UTC)I just hate the transport phase the most...packing I can do. Redirecting services sucks but this too I can do. It's the schlepping that makes me crazy in the head... but once it's all done, then I can repoen all my lovely boxes and it'll be like x-mas:)
