...Last night was fun, though hard on the feet. (I stood a lot.) Heather and the other Heather and Eric who isn't a Heather and Jake, (ditto) and myself (whose middle name is Heather) wandered around the Yoko exhibit and soaked it all in...played with the rocks, got lost in the maze, got slam-danced by my friend Allison who was on duty, etcetera.
At one point I was sitting on a bench in Alice Neel, and this tiny chid hopped on next to me, in a pink dress and solemn brown eyes. I grinned and asked, "Do your feet hurt, too?"
And she shyly nodded and started to hicccup.
I taught her how to swallow hard to get rid of her hiccups, and she counted on her fingers
quietly to show me how old she was. (Three.)
Then her mother called her, (She seemed very cold and annoyed, but it was late and perhaps Mom was just tired) and off my new friend scrambled.

I am always so impressed by the sheer bravery of small children.

MS Eff. Happy friday, sweet bunnies!!!

Hey what do you have going on this evening???

I'm sure you've seen all the stuff about Calexico at the 400 Bar, so I assume you've got other plans...

No, I didn't see it. (I haven't been checking LJ as much as I'd have liked this week ..:P

But I'll see if I can go...it does sound like fun.

(Psst--what time?)

Ms Eff, checking her schedulebook...it's a little empty tonight, woowoo!

Well, doors at 8:00, music at 9, apparently.

Ilona and I will be there. Last I heard Mikhail was going to try to get a ticket. I'd reccommmend trying a Ticketmaster outlet, as many of the other places to buy tickets have sold out of pre-printed ones. I suppose you could always check the 400 Bar itself, too...

Hmmm...I'll see what I can do.

Ms Eff, calling on the Demons of Last-Minute tickets...

YOu might like the song "Heather on the Morn" by Tempest, the celtic rock band. :)

Fuse celtic with rock, and you've got Tempest. I'm a groupie. And The Kid and I will dance to their music once again at a local arts fair in late July. Wheeeeee!

I'm not at work today - since I worked both last Monday and tomorrow I got today off. Soon I go pick The Kid up at her last day of school (gets out early). Being in a multi-age class, she's sad to see the 2nd-graders leave. But next year she'll be a 1st-grader in the same classroom and the new Kindergarteners will join. :)

She was a sweetheart...I felt a little bad that she had to leave so quickly, but it was cute, too, like a little bird or something.
