...I'm posting from home for a change, thanks to Ben the Neighbor and his wireless setup. Pretty awesome:)
It's so peaceful here in my new apartment. The trees are right outside my window; full of hoppy little birds. Some of the neighbors were practicing some barbershop-quartet-style stuff earlier, and they were so good I thought it was a recording. I had some time today after wiping down the old apartment to put a second coat of paint on the red room. (Now affectionately known as the "Rainy Day Craft Room".) I had a hot bath in my new clawfoot tub...it's a small clawfoot, so it reminds me of the Japanese-style bathtubs--dainty but deep:) I bought a huge vanilla-scented candle and stuck it in a nice glass bowl in my fireplace. It's really beautiful burning there, with the lights flickering against the tiles...
And I have unpacked the knitting...which means I am Offically Home.
*grins*
Soon I'm gonna sack out on the bed with some Harry Potter and see how long it takes to fall asleep with all the unfamiliar but soothing noises...
