Yesterday I put up some curtains in the front room of the new Maushaus--now my bedroom. They're these lovely plummy red velvet cut-out curtains with amber finials on the curtain rods. I wanted something a bit Victorian-looking to match the house, and they look really great. I can't stop peeking at them from around the corner of the living room while I'm typing...

*peek*

The house is really coming along. Slow but steady.

I was cat-wrangling for Ben and Peaty this morning, too...Saturn came home from his all-night wanderjahr, and I managed to not let anybody escape when I locked up this morning. Woot! They're determined little Houdinis, too, might I add. I have reason to be proud.

But this morning work is staring me in the face. No Wanna. But I reckon I'll manage like I usually do...

Leona LOVES the windows, but the boa would be toast in about 5 minutes.

Still, I'd buy your feng-shui book!

Hmmm...I wonder if they make cat-indestructable feather boas...i picture a boa in a block of Lucite. *chuckles*

I think I should do a feng-shui post, just to share my, er, wisdom...

I've always wanted a boa...

She's busy discovering new places and knocking down 'stuff' she never could get at in the old place. We'll get it straight. I think your place sounds a lot more interesting, colorwise, than mine is (ecru all the way through, except the avocado bathroom) but mine was painted by the landcouple.

Yeah, kitties do that, huh? I just take care of other people's cats from time to time since a kitty would have the *best* time ever trashing all my stuff. I do like them, though.

As for colors on the walls...Hmmm...Well, I reckon you could cover wide patches of wall with big Bela Lugosi Posters:) Or I remember some trick with using spray starch as an adhesive for cloth on the wall...i think if it gets steamed like wallpaper it comes right off, if you wanted a color change without painting.
