Just like old times...

...I just got back from a couple of hours at Ben and Peaty's, watching the new season starter for Dr. Who. At first I was just going to nip over tto the chicken coop to feed then old lettuce and carrots, but before I knew it I was sprawled on their couch, checking out the new Harry Potter trailer and yelling, "Eeek!! Big scary spider-lady!" at the tv when things got interesting with the Doctor. Even though Ben and Peaty were at their wheedling best, I should have cut it a little short--had to work in the morning and put up my shower curtain and wash dishes and other mundane stuff. But Ben grinned an evil grin and said, "you know, we haven't done this in such a looooong time, and there's another Dr. Who coming right on--you have to stay for that!!" *sigh* So of course I did...Just like being in ze Crackstack again, without the scary elevators and the fire alarms pulled at 3 am:) It was just a nice chunk of geek-bonding bliss...

Now I'm off to bed like a good creature. But I'll be dreaming of seeing the universe from a little wooden police box. *grin*
