...Here in the Jade Mines we are lucky to have several representations of the Japanese poetess Ono-No-Komachi. Since I was working on Second floor this morning where we keep our Japanese collection, I thought I'd Google her and found a treasure trove of her poems, including this one:

Yielding to a love
That knows no limit,
I shall go to him by night --
For the world does not yet censure
Those who tread the paths of dreams.

Yup. Minneapolis Institute of Art. I call it the Jade Mines sonce a big chunk of second floor is devoted to imperial chinese jades:)
