A list of interesting things...
Aug. 24th, 2007 06:31 am...I have a couple of fairly mangled plastic dolls I picked up the other day at a thrift store. Perfect for painting and sewing and other horrible things. I'm thinking zombies this time, definitely...
I could use some good time off. Luckily next week I start my new scedule and even *gasp gasp gasp* a paid holiday off that I don't already have off. Awesome, I tellya...
I talked to the Scraggit family ranch last night. Apparently Pa Scraggit broke his foot again, trying to dance in the Bolshoi. He has a cast and will have a bit of surgery coming up next week. Poor fella...He keeps wanting to play his odd verison of golf, stumping along in his cast and threatening trees, sand and innocent golfers ...*shakes head* I hope Ma Scraggit sits on him a little until he heals up a bit...
The Queen of Stuff is making with the flowers and suchlike this weekend. I'm going to try and pry her away from the Bridezillas long enough to feed her. It's hard to get her to get a break in when she's on a floral tear, but maybe I can pick up some sushi or something:)
I have some lovely pictures of Swedish things from Mr. Matthew, who had to be whisked away on a long business trip full of long menus and train rides and various Swedish people in business casual clothes. They're forcing him to drink cider on tap and aquavit, the sick bastids...
It's been raining pretty steadily here on the Island...It reminds me a lot of staying in the town of Volcano on my vacation...lots of greenery and dripping leaves and interesting mists. No bamboo here, but the feeling in the quietness of the air is very similar...
I fell asleep rediscovering the joys of Edward Gorey...that and the soba noodles with peanut sauce I had for dinner gave me the strangest dreams...
So there you are...
