Riding herd on the contract guys today...

...It helps that I'm so relaxed from my wonderful Saturday off. I am liking this Friday-Saturday thing veeeeeeery much... I slept. I went shopping at United Noodle. I now own more Pocky than is probably good for me. I have aquired currying goods. I got to meet the Queen of Stuff's fabulous sisters, and eat pizza with them at Psycho Suzi's. (They're off to the State Fair today while I slave away in the Jade Mines. Out-of-towners need cheese curds, and they need 'em now!!)

We also got to pet Peaty's new wood duck, Gobo. He is incredibly, funnily tame. I think he's my new favorite domestic fowl--he follows people and enjoys being petted and just seems to assume he's part of any discussion. Totally adorable. I must knit him a funny scarf for fall...because I'm fairly sure he'd wear one...

So all is well, and I'm a happy, happy Maus.

Thought of you last night, Maus. Prairie Home Companion was live from your State Fair. It was pretty good, although Mr. Keillor sometimes is best in small doses.
