I've been having trouble sleeping on the nights that I have to get up early. Usually it's not a problem--I drift off, and wake up at 5:30 without an alarm. Lately that hasn't been the case. I've been waking up at midnight, at two, at three, at four thirty. Or sleeping until nearly six, like last week. Maybe my inner alarm-clock is broken or something, and I need to use a real one. Gods, I hate alarm clocks...

So I'm awake, but grumpy. At least tonight I can stay up a while and sleep in until seven...

Cats usually know when it's time for breakfast, so I know that I will never oversleep as long as Lupe is attached behind my knees. She taps a few times when it's time to let her out. If I don't respond, she taps with claws.

That's the nice thing about bunnies...Shamu can bonk his food bowl against the bars in his,"Guard! Guarrrrd!" imitation, but he can't head-butt me or claw me or nip me or anything...

Of course, claws and nipping might be needful if I'm having that much trouble getting up:/
