with tinges of blue, lavender, and indigo. (And possibly a red overlay? Whatever that means...)
(Thanks, Dreaming Soul, and welcome to FlederMansion!! Where the furniture's always comfy, albeit black and gothy:)

I got hit on by somebody yesterday, and not the usual "Hey baby, You so fiine" crap I get on the damn street everyday. (You know, where all they care about is you're female:) It suprised the hell out of me. (It's not something that happens very often anymore. I'm not used to thinking of myself that way these days.) I was in Loring, and the person hitting on my looked like a carbon copy of my first serious boyfriend, so I stared a bit, apologized, and took my leave, blushing like mad.
Ahhh, spring.

Ms Eff, thinking I maybe should go dancing this weekend or something if I'm *That* unused to attention...Time to get those ripped fishnets out!!!

Over lunch I'd been re-reading Lucifer's Hammer
by Larry Niven. (It's about what would happen if the Earth got a massive comet strike.) I'd been reading about Hollywood and most of California dissapearing under a massive Tsunami. (Bye, Serendipity!!) London drowning, (there goes J and Richard!!) the East Coast disappearing under waves and rain, (Elllyyyy!!!) Glaciers coming down from the north, (Well, there goes Daruba and Ilona and JohnBoze and Me and Aphonia and Ana and Cyn and Kev!!)
Well maybe Glauko might survive, down in South America. But the rest of us would be toast.

Unless...

And here's my hypothetical bit: Suppose a bunch of us survived, for whatever reasons. Suppose we managed to get together. (Yes, this is *Very* hypothetical.* What skills would you have to keep a small community of people alive? You'd need doctors and sentries and farmers and possibly someone who knew about generators and electrical systems and building skills...

I tell ya: Besides what camping, canning, and herbalism skills I have, I don't know if I'd be particularly useful:) (Ummm, I can draw purty stuff, and I can cook?) Okay, mabe the herbs would help, especially since we wouldn't be making meds for a long time. Oh, and breeder stock. (*shudder*)

Ms Eff, scaring herself with a story of a giant *Ka-Boom!*

And she and I took a bit of a break on the concourse together. It's lovely, the way everything's gray-green in the garden, and we talked about the rain and Toronto and such. I showed her the doll I made (she hasn't been picked up yet) Wish I'd had more time to take off. (Damn that copier!!! Damn it all to Heeeeeell!)

I sure think she's swell:)

Ms Eff, all smiley.
