The skies are gray and blustery, and the yellow leaves ar raining down all over the city...It's like being in the autumn version of a snow-globe:)
I wish I could be outside...well, maybe a nice walk after work.

This weekend was full of interesting things to do...I moshed to zydeco music, (well, I can't two-step!!! ) drank a fair amount of beer, remembered why I didn't like White Castle Hamburgers, (I imitated Jackson Pollock in my apartment's front flower garden... Ullllgh.) and almost have a new doll finished. I'm encouraging a friend of mine to get an LJ account--got her a code and everything. (I was suprised to find you still need one now as a potential new user.)

In general I feel optimistic...it's been a while getting there, and it may not stay...but it's a missed feeling. I'm glad it's back.

Ms Eff..today's Halloween costume is twofold. Right now I am the Chocolatey Avenger!!! (Brown tights and tank top, black shirt and skirt with pockets for carrying extra chocolate.) Later I will most likely slip into the Ms Eff--Beat-cop outfit, armed with the Fabulously Useful Clue-stick. What's a clue stick? tune in later on today and find out....

...Personally I feel optimistic. In a cultural sense, though, there's all the other feelings the Western world has right now...and of course this affects me too.
I'm not ignoring the events that are unfolding all around us today. I'm just letting the cheerfulness have it's way with me before everything else seeps in again...

I keep thinking of two songs--Boingo's "Marching off to war again," and Peter Gabriel's piano version of "Here comes the flood."

Hot Pocket and tea.
But somebody gave me chips
and a free cookie....

The History of the mysterious but extremely useful Clue Stick can be read about here...

I now have several Clue Sticks...I have the Mighty Midieval Clue Stick, used by many a Renaissance lady in defense of her right to have a clue.(Cynnerth has pics!) I also have the Fairy Godmother Clue-Stick, for bopping the noggins of various enchanters, Black Knights, Misbehaving froggies, and the occasional insurance salesman....

So what kind of Clue Sticks do YOU have?

Ms Eff, in her Beat-cop uniform, as promised..does this mean I have to sing Village People songs now? (does the arm movements)

Wearing: Oh, you know...
Drinking: Good Earth Tea. Mmmmm.
Thinking: about the Jeff Koons piece I saw downstairs and how much fun it would be to *punt* it...I'm not a big Koons fan.
Wondering: How this afternoon will be work-wise without mail pick-up, etcetra.
Dreaming: of silly poems...It's all rdsc's fault.

And I haven't needed the Clue Stick yet today. Cool.

I'm thinking of yummy Vietnamese take-out for dinner...MMM, curried beef would keep me nice and warm today. And spring rolls.

I'm thinking of finishing the skirt for the art-doll I made, and starting another one.

I'm thinking, "Can I avoid having to do laundry tonight?"

I'm thinking of putting in a schlocky movie...like "Legend" (Mia Sara's dresses!!! Tim Curry in Hooves!!! Tom Cruise...well, two out of three isn't bad...)or "Flash Gordon" (Brian Blessed is my ideal maniacal father figure..Go, Brian, Go!!!)

I'm thinking that there's a pressure system coming in...my hands hurt a little, and so does my sinuses. Ow...ow...

I'm thinking of going to bed early...

I'm thinking of you. Yes, you. So there.
