...2 billion years ago a bacterial reef concentrated and metabolized enough uranium-235 to accidentally create the world's first atomic pile. The natural reactor burned itself to death, went nuclear and fossilized itself for future discovery off the West African Coast....

Heh, s'cuse me...

The Sirens are going on right now. (It's a test...every first Wednesday of the month.)
They're continuing the sirens all winter now, something we didn't do before September. (We used them as tornado or storm warnings. Now...well, they're for whatever we need them for.)

Anyway...
*Unpacks paper bag and sets out one hot fudge sundae with banana slices, one small pistacio sundae, and a bottle of Reed's extra-strong ginger-beer*

I already had mine...Peanut-Buster parfait. And was it ever. *wipes fudge off mouth with napkin*

Funky weather crap...

When I came to work today, I had my coat open, and was sweating.

Now it's bitterly cold and about to snow hard.

Hot chocolate, warm laundry and a movie for me tonight....
