I was getting ready to go out with Redneckwitchboi, < a href="http://www.livejournal.com/users/ruby_slippers">Ruby slippers, and Laura when I started feeling kind of growly in the stomach. Not hungery, just sort of sour. I went downstairs, and even with the peppermint tea ben thoughtfully provided it started turning into stomach cramps, and I threw up in his bathroom. I told everyone I'd raincheck them another time, went upstairs and tried to get some sleep.

I spent the next 8 hours throwing up. More or less every hour and a half, sometimes more. I kept trying to sip teas and warm water, but nothing stayed down until about 4 am.

Today I've been sleeping a lot, and drinking Gatorade and apple juice and alka-seltzer and ginger ale and anything else I can keep in my belly. If it is Norwalk, I should be better by Wednesday. Please please pleaaaaase....

Meanwhile, don't come too close, unless you're really brave or have already had it. *shiver shiver*

Yeah- I didn't have the throwing up stuff, thank god.. Maybe you should go to the DR tommorow and see if there's some antibiotics they can give you?

Thanks *heehee*

Maybe...but if it's viral, antibiotics won't do a damn thing for me.

and I do feel like I'm getting better. It's slow, but I feel leaps and bounds better than I did last night.

See?
*raises shirt a little*
No more belly rumbles!

Oh no! Get well before your birthday (((Ms Eff)))

Throwing up is horrrrrrrible. I hate hate hate it. Especially when throwing up doesn't give you any relief from the queasy feeling.

I'm sorry you're sick and hope you feel better real soon!

My very healthy 75-year-old parents went on a cruise near the start of all the cruise ailments. My mom got what she thought was seasick for an afternoon. My dad was ok until their first night home, which he spent throwing up - for the first time in their entire 56-year marriage!

Your poor parents! I hope they're better now too-this would have been..about a month ago or so?

I heard about the cruise stuff and thought how much of a nightmare that would be, on vacation and spending most of it very sick...and the poor crew!

2-3 months ago by now. They were actually lucky, compared to the experiences of some of the other passengers.

And, yeah, the crew! They've been disinfecting like crazy and nothing seems to help. Aaargh.

I just hope the passel of friends I was visiting when I first started throwing up don't catch it too...I would wish this thing on anyone, it hurt so much.

I heard the marines have been getting this too now. and I have no clue where I got it from--very likely someone at work:P
