*grumble*

Happily I have the corner store. And after work I should hit the Wedge or Kowalksi's or something. I'm even out of milk. I meant to go shopping last night but work was just this crazy, busy experience and I had no oomph. (shows the "Oomph" meter, which reads "Low")

At least my meeting with my boss and the director of our move to the other building until the expansion's done went okay. Shesh, my boss even made a joke or two...not *good* jokes, mind you, but the man was trying. I had a minion to stuff some things for me, and it's amazing how much you can get done with an extra pair of hands.
(I suppose my cow irker counts...no, wait, no he doesn't...)

I got out a lot of the tension by knitting this horrible wook I want to felt. I'm gonna get it good and wet and then toss it in the dryer on *high* the next time I do laundry and see what happens. Muahhahaha...

And today, TODAY...I should be getting a package from MrsScraggit. It should have been yesterday, but we had a huge art shipment going out which disrupted our other deliveries...it's an occupational hazard at the Minimalist Inferno to have a big honkin' 18-wheeler in the way, loaded with big heavy crates of artwork. *grumble* Get the freakin' Sol Le Witt's out of the goddamn way, I WANT MY CHOCOLATE!!! SHE SAID THERE WAS SOME IN THERE! *shrieks with thwarted ...uh, thwartedness*

Why no, I'm not hormonal, why do you ask?....

Pray tell. What's a horrible wook? How does one felt a horrible wook? In what manner would one horrible wook be felted? When felted properly, how does the aforementioned wook of horribleness respond? Are there genetic repercussions due to this method of felting? Are there offspring that will at some future point of maturation need to be felted as well? Is the cost of raising a litter of felted wooks prohibitive? Is that why they are horrible?
Pray, tell!

A horrible wook, one of the members of the Furry wook family, (Often known as dust bunnies)is a small furry creature with pointy ears and small eyes and snout, from which issues the familiar "wook" call it is well known for. Wooks are gregarious creatures, hiding under couches and refridgerators and such, growing bigger and bigger over time until they roll out and become tumbleweeds.
To keep domesticated Wooks manageable, felting is recommended--Hot water and detergent for at least 15 minutes, checking on the size of the Wook every 45 seconds or so, adding a little vinegar when the size of the Wook is to your liking. Keep fingers and toes out of the way of the Wook's pointy teeth until their fur dries, as they tend to be crabby when wet. When felted properly they feel like tiny blankets, and they sleep comfortably through the winter.
Attempts to breed self-felting Wooks have all been less than satisfactory, no matter how much bubble bath we put in the hot tub.

The horrible Wooks are different from the alpaca or Mohair wooks by the fact that when felted they are scratchy and abrasive rather than soft...making them ideal for pot-scrubbers. (they do try to nip, however.) an interesting and unusual pet species to domesticate at home!!

sincerely yours,
Dr. F, Maus, Famed Wook-breeder and pot-holder-knitter....
