I just got off the phone with the Emil-y...She works at the MIA as one of the security staff.
"Hell yes, we're hiring." She tells me, "Come down tomorrow after work and fill out an application and drop off your resume'"

Okay.

It sounds like they'll take me. I have good references and experience. Most of the security staff are refugees from the Inferno anyway...

It'll be nice to see some people I used to work with regularly. The starting pay is only a buck under what I'm making now. It's about 15 minutes away by foot, or a short bus ride. It'll be part time at first, and take a little while to get benefits, but it'll be less stressful than the Inferno.

I don't feel quite so panicked right now. That's good.

Heh..."missing in action" is good, since the aforementioned refugees fled there...there's quite the Walker Diaspora there....

The nice thing is, the place is full of old friends and coworkers of mine, so they know me already. It'll be a little tight financially at first, but it would be so nice to work with people who aren't all malevolent dickheads again...
