...Is it really obsessive to spin wool in July before 6 am? Yes, Yes I believe it is...
Too hot to knit any of it, though. Most of my little knitting projects are just that right now--little, so they don't keep my lap too warm. I've been crocheting lots of guts to go into some more creatures I made. I found the perfect yarn for intestines and everything; this kind of pinkish-orangeish-yellowish-purplish stuff. I think it was supposed to be for some flirty tropical-themed tank-top or something. Hehhehhehhhhh....

Otherwise, same old. I'm taking the weekend off for a party that got moved; but we're having our own air-conditioning soiree' instead. I have a doctor's appointment on Tuesday to see what kind of surgical proceedure I need for my innards. (I'm trying not to be nervous. *gulp.* At least I'll have a better idea of what's in front of me so I can plan a little better.) Work isn't bad, but we need more people. I have those rice crackers I like so much in my lunch...

And so on and so on, world without end, huzzah and pass the wasabi...

No one can say you're not well-knit...or that you can't tell a good yarn...

What's up with your innards? They can't just leave it? Don't worry, I've been through that too and it's not as bad as your imagination is going to make it.

apparently not...so I have to find out from a specialist what they can do about it.

I'm so glad the other women who have dealt with this keep coming out of the woodwork with advice and comfort. Anytime you hear the words "tumors" "Uterus" and "surgery" strung together is just that much more nerve-racking. Cindy tells me you had a hysterectomy? How did it go? (I might need one, too:/

My gyno waited so long to deal with the fibroid I had, that it was the size of a grapfruit when I finally switched gynos and got one that wasn't afraid to give me the hysterectomy I really needed. Because they waited so long, they had to go through my stomach instead of vaginaly. That makes for a long recovery, but if they get you early, it'll be a fast and less painful thing. It sounds like you're early enough so that you don't have to go through what I did. I've got all the confidence in the world that you're going to be aokay.

Hopefully they caught me soon enough; I found this whole shebang in March when I went for my yearly. (good thing I get my yearly, eh? I didn't have it last year and have the records to show it...)

I hope they don't have to do a hysterectomy...but I'm becoming a little more okay with it if that's the way it has to be.

If it's only a year old, your really good to go and I don't see why they'd need to do a hysterectomy. But I'm not a doctor. You'll be okay.

*Nods very seriously*

I hope so..I mean, I don't have *any* of the symptoms or anything. I don't hurt, my periods are normal, my bladder seems okay, all that stuff. I'm trying to be hopeful about all this:)

Meanwhile, I'm still calling it my Alien Baby...dunno why: it's just this gruesome funny name that just kinda stuck.

Heh. It is kind of like an alien baby. You're funny.

I had a hysterectomy when I was forty, or so. I had the same reaction of fear, but I needn't have. The fibroids were so big they definitely had to come out through an incision. It just made the recovery time longer.

The day of surgery didn't feel good and my sister, Joyce, came to the hospital and read me a story to put me to sleep!
She's a sweet sister. The next morning I was ready to smile at the doctor and soon was walking around the halls.

I've NEVER been sorry I had it done. Just wish I'd talked to a doctor sooner.

It's good to know these things. It's going to make whatever they need to do with me that much easier to cope with; to know that other people have gone through the same thing and that it all turned out okay in the end...
